Striking deep pink spikes. Beautiful but usually relatively short lived 'statement' plant. Best in well drained soil in sunny situations. Ideal for hot climates, perennial or mixed borders and especially in dry and gravel gardens but ensure that they are not crowded by their neighbours. Remove dead flower spikes and any rubbish collected in the leaf rosette.
